this is the cake from the recipe a couple posts below (a result of my weekend baking). a delicious and simple coffee flavoured teacake with cream cheese frosting.

oh, and after a trip to a local asian market and a basket full of cheap and delicious noodles and produce, i found this recipe. The only difference between mine and the recipe is I bought the super thinly sliced beef meant for hot pot cooking. i will be making this again very soon.
next up, i have this tikka masala recipe printed and ready to try on the weekend, thanks to this post. we are big indian food lovers in this house, but i just can't justify the cost once a week. which is how often we debate ordering it. i'm hoping this recipe will fix that. i'll report back soon.

I can't choose between the noodles and the lovely cake - can I have both??
:-)
that cake looks unbelievable. i would want a big spoonful of the icing.
I must try those noodles!
That cake looks amazing Sandy, gorgeous pic btw too.
did you try the tikka masala recipie? How was it? It's one of my favorites. I tried some jarred sauce once and added some chicken, but it was a sorry second place to the real thing.
